Another Confirmation……..

9 11 2009

This past Sunday we were honored to have the Administrative Bishop of Arkansas in service with us. Bishop Les Higgins had visited our church back in 2007 not long after our appointment. Since that time God has really blessed Harvest Temple and opened up many doors for new ministry in our city, communities, and our local neighborhoods. Bishop Les really expressed the total transformation that he recognized the moment he walked in, from the remodeling to all the new faces. This is just another confirmation that God is doing GREAT things at Harvest Temple!

To God Be The Glory!

Thank you staff and leadership for a great job every week!

Sunday’s at Harvest…..

21 10 2009

It’s AWESOME to see God work the way He does each and every Sunday. Last night I had a meeting with everyone who will be joining the church this Sunday (27 great new people). One thing that they all said was” our services are never the same, yet God’s presence is always so awesome!”

This is proof that no matter what approach you take in your church services, God can move and change lives!

We had a great day……

21 09 2009

I want to say “THANK YOU” to everyone who participated in making yesterday a success!

We had a great day!

Up coming events……….

15 09 2009

One thing that defines a growing church is the things that you have going on outside of the every Sunday and Wednesday routines. If you attend Harvest Temple you know that is definitely the case. I just thought that I would send out a reminder to everyone about the upcoming events:

9-19-09 Auburn Concession (if you are interested call Will or Channing)

9-20-09 Family and Friendship Sunday (if it rains we will have this in FLC)

9-26-09 children’s seminar

10-02-09 Revolution

10-11-09 Celebrating 88 years

Is Paul sick?

12 09 2009

Somebody call and check on Paul……….he must be sick, kidnapped, or maybe depressed! Something is definitely wrong! He hasn’t blogged or played a joke on anyone since August 31.

Very strange……..

7 09 2009

As most of you know, Lindsey and I are on vacation (thanks to our wonderful church family). This morning I told Lindsey how strange it felt not being in service at Harvest Temple, it’s been 2 1/2 years and this is the first time we have missed a Sunday together (HT family may consider this a blessing..LOL). You know what is even more strange, this is our first vacation in 10 years…..

Hope to get back to Alabama soon! (I’m tired of strange…)

How do you know………

24 08 2009

As most of you know, Casen turned two years old this past week. He is really doing well in progressing from the baby stage to the toddler stage. He is already potty trained, he can feed himself, play the wii, etc. Lindsey and I are very proud of his early childhood accomplishments, but when he grabbed up the iphone and started scrolling through the apps and playing with all of his favorites, we started to wonder is this normal? Well to top things off yesterday Lindsey and Callie went to Walmart to buy some groceries and the boys stayed home with me, so we decided to go outside and play a little while, well this 2 year old son of mine got my Blackberry unlocked it and started calling people in my phone-book, before I realized it, he had went from the letter A-Q.

So how do you know when a 2 year old is too smart?

Twisted…..

18 08 2009

As you guys know we have been doing a series called twisted, and the last 3 weeks have awesome! (You would have thought I would have listened.)

Over the weekend we had our 32 Annual Softball Tournament for the Church of God. The days leading up to the tournament my mind said you can still play, but Sunday morning my body said you are an idiot! LOL

On a serious note Paul warns us in Ephesians ch.6 to put on the whole armour of God, not just bits and pieces. The one piece we fail to put on is the helmet of salvation. We need to guard aganist Satan’s number 1 tool, and that is deception of our minds, as he is so good at twisting the truth!

A great summer!

10 08 2009

In the church world a Pastor always dreads summer getting here due to the congregation getting a little inconsistent because of vacations. I was told once by a Pastor friend of mine that the two worst holidays were Memorial day and Labor day (and every day in between). LOL

We experienced that again this year just like most churches, but what is cool was during this summer we had several new faces, that now have become every week attenders! God is doing some GREAT things and He is drawing new people every week to be a part of the HT family, and in this process He is pouring out His Spirit in these last days, just as the prophet Joel had promised. Get ready Montgomery (city, community, neighborhood), for God is building a army at The New Harvest Temple!

This morning is another great example of that, great job HT Staff!

Paul U R The Man……..

16 07 2009

As you know we are always changing things up here at Harvest Temple…………Last week I had discussed with Paul to revamp our website. So the next thing I know, Paul called me in his office and asked me to take a look at his computer.

What I saw was AWESOME……..a website that was very cool, but yet user friendly. Paul all I can say is……………………U R The Man!

Thanks for your eagerness to take Harvest Temple to a new level!
